Hedgehog
Hedgehogs inspire immediate affection in most human observers. Their small, round faces and button noses trigger universal nurturing instincts. Despite their spines, hedgehogs can be safely handled with appropriate care, and they have become increasingly popular as domestic pets. Their non-threatening demeanour and nocturnal habits make them ideal neighbours for humans uncomfortable with wildlife encounters. One cannot feel intimidated by a hedgehog.
Wonder Woman
Whilst Wonder Woman is portrayed as compassionate and approachable in demeanour, her physical capabilities inspire awe rather than comfort. Knowing someone could throw a tank at you tends to affect casual conversation dynamics. Her royal status as an Amazonian princess further establishes social barriers. She is, by all accounts, extremely kind, but one does not casually invite a demigod for tea without some anxiety about the silverware.
VERDICT
The hedgehog achieves its sole victory through sheer non-threatening adorability. Humans naturally gravitate towards creatures that pose no conceivable danger and fit comfortably in cupped hands. Wonder Woman's intimidation factor, however unintentional, creates inevitable distance. The hedgehog wins this category by virtue of being entirely incapable of accidentally destroying one's house.
